About Us
Rancho Cordova, CA – Hangtown Motocross Classic
Founded in 1968 by the Dirt Diggers North Motorcycle Club, the Hangtown Motocross Classic began as a bold plan to bring top riders to Northern California. First held at Murray’s Ranch outside Placerville, the race drew hundreds of competitors and fans and quickly became the oldest, boldest motocross event in the country — now held at Prairie City SVRA near Sacramento.

Welcome Campers
Enjoy the full Hangtown Motocross Classic experience by staying right on site! General camping spaces are approximately 22′–37′ and premium spaces 22′–60′. Dry camping only – no hook-ups or potable water are provided. Toilets are available but no showers. Dogs must be leashed and kept out of the event area. Quiet hours run 10 pm–6 am with no generators or loud noise. Please follow all posted rules and respect fellow campers and volunteers for a safe, fun stay.
